Terms of Service
Last updated November 1, 2026
These terms are between you and SimpleStack (심플스택), a sole proprietorship in the Republic of Korea (“we”), which runs Curiami: the Chrome extension and the website curiami.com. By using Curiami you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data.
The service
Curiami lets you ask about a moment in a YouTube video. It sends your question, with the frame and captions on screen, to an AI model, shows the answer, and keeps the question and answer as a record at that moment. You need a Google account to sign in, and to be at least 14.
Your account
You sign in with Google, and you’re responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person: making more accounts to get more free questions isn’t allowed.
Plans
- Free: one question with each model, once per account.
- Pro and Ultra: a monthly allowance of usage, measured by what each question costs the model to answer. Ultra’s is four times Pro’s. The allowance renews with each monthly payment; what’s unused doesn’t carry over. Moving from Pro to Ultra partway through a month adds Ultra’s extra allowance for the part of the month left, as Paddle charges for that part.
- If a renewal payment fails, asking pauses until it goes through. Update your card from your account page.
The pricing page shows current prices and about how many questions an allowance covers. Those numbers are estimates: longer answers and deeper thinking use more.
Payment
Paid plans are sold by our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates). Paddle handles checkout, billing, taxes, invoices and refunds, under its own buyer terms. Prices include VAT and sales tax where they apply.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page: your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. If we change prices, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to your next renewal.
Refunds
- Within 14 days of your first payment, if you haven’t asked a question since paying, you get a full refund.
- Once you’ve asked a question on a paid plan, that payment isn’t refundable. You can still cancel, so you’re not charged again.
- Renewals aren’t refundable. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid one.
- A refund, or a charge disputed with your bank, ends the plan right away. Asking pauses while a refund is reviewed.
- Charged twice, or unable to use Curiami because of a fault on our side: write to us and we’ll refund it.
Ask for a refund at contact@curiami.com. Paddle issues refunds to your original payment method. Where the law where you live gives you more rights, those rights apply. The Refund Policy has the details.
Using Curiami fairly
Don’t:
- break the law, or use Curiami to harm others;
- try to get around usage limits, run automated or bulk requests, or interfere with the service;
- ask for content that the model providers’ usage policies prohibit (Anthropic, OpenAI);
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
AI answers
Answers come from third-party AI models and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They aren’t professional advice (medical, legal, financial or otherwise). Check anything that matters before relying on it.
Your content
Your questions, the names you give records, and the answers you receive are yours. You give us the permission we need to store them, send them to the model that answers, and show them back to you: nothing more. You’re responsible for what you ask about, including that you’re allowed to use the videos you watch.
Not affiliated
Curiami isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, and ChatGPT and GPT of OpenAI.
Changes and ending
We may change or stop parts of Curiami. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before. If we ever shut Curiami down, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice, refund the unused part of any paid period, and you’ll be able to export your records first.
You can stop using Curiami and delete your account at any time.
Liability
Curiami is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract, or liability for our intent or gross negligence.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This doesn’t take away protections that consumer law where you live gives you.
